Elevex , a company of human scale, which is positioned as a key player in Quebec in the field of the purchase, rental and maintenance of forklifts, is currently looking for a Road Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to complete its Montreal service team.

Concretely, what will you be doing?

As Service Technician on the road, you will be travelling at the wheel of your service vehicle to visit clients of Elevex in the greater Montreal region to perform diagnosis, repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts (electric, propane and diesel) of clients that are assigned to you.

You will also need to

  • Explain the work you have performed to the client’s representative and inform them of problems encountered upon need;
  • Complete and document work orders in so that required parts can be ordered;
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance log for equipement;
  • Ensure you service vehicle makes a good impression and meets safety standards.

The team

You will be working in collaboration with a dynamic team made up of about twenty technicians on the road.  You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and work alongside forklift industry experts.

Profile needed

  • You hold a diploma in a relevant field (mechanical, electromechanical, etc.);
  • You have mechanical experience (ideally at least 5 years);
  • You have a valid driver’s licence in order to operate the service vehicle;
  • You have an adequate tool box;
  • You are customer service oriented;
  • You have good physical condition and endurance;
  • You are able to work in various work environments and diverse weather conditions (you will be able to face the 4 seasons).
