Elevex, a company of human scale positioned as a key player in Quebec when it comes to the material handling equipment, is currently looking for a Shop Clerk to join its Montreal service team.

Concretely, what will you be doing?
As Shop Clerk, you will be responsible for taking on a variety of manual tasks to support the activities of our Pointe-Claire mechanical shop.
More specifically, you will:
- Perform a variety of minor building maintenance tasks (i.e. replace light bulbs or neons, clean windows, minor repairs, etc.);
- Displace forklifts in the shop and in the warehousing area;
- Perform various material handling tasks (i.e. move material in the mechanical shop or in the warehouse);
- Deliver parts to customers or our own technicians on the road;
- Act as a replacement for the shipping and receiving of forklifts;
- Perform aesthetical work on forklifts (washing, paint touch ups, etc.);
- Perform various tasks in support to mechanical staff;
- Get rid of waste in the mechanical shop;
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the shop (i.e. clean the shop’s floor periodically using the auto floor scrubber, etc.);
- Any other related task to support the mechanical shop.
Profile needed
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar positing (i.e. handyman, shop clerc, etc.);
- Valid drivers licence (class 5);
- Ability to lift weights up to 20 kg;
- Ability to work standing up for continuous periods of 6 to 8 hours;
- Manual skills and ability to use various tools (handy; good with their hands);
- Autonomous and resourceful.
